Biofilmografia: Derya Deniz nasce nella provincia meridionale di Mersin, in Turchia, nel 1985. La sua famiglia proviene dal distretto di Siverek, nella provincia sudorientale di Urfa. Dopo la laurea presso l’Università Ivanova in Russia, ha continuato a vivere in Russia, lavorando a progetti di documentari e programmi televisivi. Ha lavorato anche come programmista televisiva nella regione federale del Kurdistan e ha prodotto documentari in Shengal e nell’Amministrazione Autonoma della Siria del Nord-Est. TV Reporter in Siria, NES (2017-2019), in Iraq e KRG (2014-2017), in Russia (2011-2014).
Biofilmography: Derya Deniz was born in Turkey’s southern province of Mersin in 1985. Her family was from the Siverek district of the southeastern Urfa province. After graduating from the Ivanova University in Russia, she continued to live in Russia, working on documentary projects and TV programs. She also worked as a TV programmer in the Kurdistan Federal Region, and produced documentaries in Shengal and The Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria. TV Reporter in Syria, NES (2017-2019), in Iraq and KRG (2014-2017), in Russia (2011-2014).

Racconta cosa ha vissuto nelle mani dell’ISIS, come è riuscita fuggire e come ha continuato la sua vita dopo la fuga. Heza nemmeno nei suoi pensieri più sfrenati avrebbe pnesato un giorno di comandare centinaia di uomini e donne combattenti in una battaglia contro l’organizzazione terroristica jihadista più pericolosa del mondo (ISIS), e di sconfiggerli. Heza era solo una ragazzina quando, insieme ad altre 5000 donne yazide, fu catturata e resa schiava dall’ISIS.
Synopsis: This documentary is about a Yazidi woman who had been enslaved during the attack of the Islamic State (ISIS) on Shengal (Sinjar) which started on 3 August 2014. It tells what she’d lived through in the hands of ISIS, how she managed to escape, and how she carried on with her life after her escape. Heza, never in her wildest dream thought she one day will be commanding hundreds of men and women fighters in to a battle against the worlds most dangerous jihadist terror organisation (ISIS) and defeat them.
