Guest of honor this year will be the actress Antonella Attili, who will hold the event “Between Rights and Environment” with a series of environmental-themed readings interpreted by her during the final evening.
On Wednesday 21 July at 9.30 pm in the Garden, at the end of the screening of No News by Lennart Hüper, from Germany as an Italian premiere, the director Lennart Hüper will meet the audience of the festival together with the journalist and juror Nello Scavo, and Alessandro Metz, the social owner of Mediterranea Saving Humans. The doc tells of the crew of the non-governmental rescue ship “Lifeline” stuck in Malta for several weeks now. What is it like to be forced to wait while people are drowning a few miles away?
Thursday 22 July at 19.00 on the beach the unmissable event of Greenpeace Italy, one of the partners of SiciliAmbiente. The meeting, entitled “Climate crisis: a vision is missing. How the Recovery and Resilience Plan is a missed opportunity for a real turning point in policies to combat the climate crisis “will see the presence of Giuseppe Onufrio Director of Greenpeace Italy and Gianni Silvestrini Scientific Director of the Kyoto Club.
Friday 23 July at 11.15 pm in the Garden there is great anticipation for the concert / interview by Roy Paci, a talented musician and versatile testimonial of the Amnesty International Italy campaign 60 years after the Association’s birth and always a staunch supporter of the battles for human rights. “Vitaphone” will be a sound dialogue by Roy Paci accompanied on the piano by Antonio Amabile.
Saturday 24 July at the end of the 13th edition, the big round table organized by Arpa Sicilia, Greenpeace and Amnesty International will talk about environmental and social justice to protect the environment and human health. Professor Gabriella Marcatajo, from the Department of Political Sciences of the University of Palermo, spoke.
Afterwards, ARPA Sicilia will present ARPINA, the Environmental Information Project: initiatives in favor of consumers, promoted by the General Secretariat of the Presidency of the Region. The goal is to raise awareness and inform citizens on the issues of respect, protection and enhancement of biodiversity and ecosystems. There will be Giuseppe Peraino Mayor of San Vito Lo Capo, Vincenzo Infantino Director General of ARPA Sicily, Chiara Di Maria Head of the Sicily District of Amnesty International Italy and Giuseppe Onufrio Director of Greenpeace Italy.
