SiciliAmbiente is an international festival of documentaries and, starting this year, of short movies and animations too, linked to environmental and sustainability themes. Promoted by the municipality of S. Vito lo Capo, by Demetra Productions and by the cultural association Cantiere 7, it came to its fifth editions.
The event is sponsored by the Italian National UNESCO Commission DESS (Decennial Sustainable Development Education Board) and by UNRIC (Regional Information Center of the United Nations). We will carry on with the twinning between our festival and Human Rights Festival of Buenos Aires, the collaboration with the Filmoteca Regionale Siciliana and, for the third year in a row, with the FINCA (International Festival of Environmental Cinema – Argentina). The aim is to guarantee a high level of works presented at SiciliAmbiente.
We moreover count on reconfirming the collaboration with the CinemAmbiente Festival in Turin.
The firsts editions have gained much consensus and location undoubtedly helps. San Vito lo Capo, with its beautiful sea and its stunning sunsets, is the perfect location for a festival.
